Pre-seed, founder-funded, Delaware C-corp. Working prototype, first hardware printed in-lab, and an active push into U.S. defense programs. No fielded deployments yet — that's the work.

Compensation

Negotiated individually, and honest about stage: starting cash is below big-company market, and it steps up at defined company milestones — the step schedule is written into your offer letter, not promised over coffee. What early hires get now: senior scope, real ownership, and a seat at the table while the foundation is poured.

Verify, then claim — every number ships with its methodology. Small team, deep ownership, build in public where security allows. Some defense programs may require U.S. person status.

Lead Embedded ML Engineer

Own the perception stack: acoustic + vision models that run on edge silicon, trained sim-to-real and hardened by field data. You'll take the CRNN detector from prototype to fielded, and build the sim-to-field retraining loop that compounds with every hour of fielded data.

  • PyTorch to edge deployment (quantization, pruning, on-device inference)
  • Signal-rich ML: audio, spectrograms, multi-channel sensors
  • Bonus: Jetson/Hailo/NPU experience, TAK ecosystem, C-UAS domain

Lead Acoustics / DSP Engineer

Own the physics: array processing, direction-of-arrival, wind robustness, calibration. Our aperture is small and the targets are quiet — you'll squeeze every dB the geometry allows and design the arrays that come next.

  • Array signal processing: beamforming, GCC-PHAT, MUSIC/SRP, tracking
  • Real-world acoustics: wind noise, multipath, outdoor propagation
  • Bonus: aeroacoustics, MEMS mic arrays, pyroomacoustics/simulation

Field Test & Integration Engineer

Own the dirt: range days, drone flights, data campaigns, site pilots, TAK integration. You'll turn "works in sim" into "worked at the range, here's the data" — the sentence that wins programs.

  • Comfortable running outdoor test campaigns end-to-end (Part 107 a plus)
  • Hands-on hardware: Pi-class systems, sensors, power, networking
  • Bonus: defense test ranges, TAK/ATAK, UAS operations
